Antibody Reformatting

Monoclonal antibodies are the fastest growing sector of the Biopharmaceutical marketplace.  Biomarker discovery has also seen rapid growth in the past few years.  As a result many companies and researchers have identified a range of clinically relevant targets.  In order to fully exploit the opportunities that these targets present, it is imperative to develop the best possible recognition moiety as well as the correct effector function. 

Whether you do antibody discovery via hybridoma or phage display technologies, antibody reformatting is a crucial step for the transition from the bench to the clinic.

At ACYTE Biotech we have developed methods to allow seamless antibody reformatting independent of variable region sequences.  Traditional antibody reformatting is difficult and laborious; relying on restriction enzyme based cloning.  More often than not this results in the additional of undesirable amino acids into the antibody primary sequence.  Our mAbXpress system circumvents these issues and allows creation of a range of designer IgG isotypes with desirable characteristics.
